Terms of Service

Welcome to Covens. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use Covens.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Covens. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your authentication credentials (Apple ID, email, password) secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it when it changes.

Community guidelines

Covens is a sacred space for connection. By using the app, you agree:

• Covens is for finding kindred spirits, friendship, and community — not for dating or hookups. Users seeking dating partners will be removed.
• To treat other users with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination based on gender, sexuality, race, faith path, or any other identity will result in account termination.
• To not impersonate others, create fake profiles, or misrepresent your identity.
• To not share sexually explicit content, illegal content, or content that violates the rights of others.
• To not solicit, advertise, or attempt to use Covens for commercial purposes without explicit permission.
• To not contact users who have blocked you, or to circumvent blocks by creating new accounts.

Reporting and enforcement

Use the in-app report feature to flag conduct that violates these Terms. We review reports and may, at our sole discretion, warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate community guidelines. We may also remove content that violates these Terms.

User content

You retain ownership of content you create on Covens (profile information, messages, photos, tarot reflections, circle posts). By posting content, you grant Covens a limited license to display, transmit, and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the app.

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference.

Service changes and availability

Covens is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time. We make no guarantees about uptime, feature availability, or data permanence. We will give reasonable notice of major changes that affect you.

Disclaimer

Covens is a tool to help you connect with others. We do not perform background checks, verify identities, or guarantee the accuracy of any user's profile or statements. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Use good judgment when meeting people in person. Meet in public places, tell a friend, and trust your instincts.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Covens and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profit, or harm caused by other users.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by emailing privacy@covens.app. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Your continued use of Covens after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
